Detailed itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KILIFI – CREEK & BEACH INDULGENCE

  • Airport Arrival & Transfer
    Arrival at Malindi or Mombasa Airport followed by meet and greet with your safari guide. Scenic transfer to your creekside resort in Kilifi (approximately 1 hour). Check-in with welcome drink and lunch at the resort.

  • Kilifi Creek Dhow Experience
    Traditional dhow cruise along Kilifi Creek with optional kayaking or paddle boarding for adventure lovers.

  • Bofa Beach Sunset Visit
    Relaxation and sunset photography at Bofa Beach overlooking the Indian Ocean.

  • Seafood Dinner & Overnight
    Seafood dinner by the creek and overnight stay at Silver Palm Spa & Resort.

DAY 2: TSAVO EAST – WILDLIFE & NATURE

  • Breakfast at the Resort

  • Takaungu Cultural Tour
    Guided exploration of traditional Swahili architecture and fishing lifestyle. Meet local artisans for bead-making and handicraft demonstrations. Optional Swahili cooking class experience.

  • Arabuko Sokoke Forest Adventure
    Picnic lunch inside the forest followed by guided nature walks in East Africa’s largest coastal forest. Spot endemic bird species such as Sokoke Scops Owl and Clarke’s Weaver. Visit butterfly and medicinal plant conservation projects. Optional canopy walks where available.

  • Return to Kilifi for a sunset creek walk, dinner, and overnight.

DAY 3: MARAFA DEPRESSION & JOURNEY TO TSAVO EAST

  • Marafa Depression (Hell’s Kitchen)
    Explore the dramatic sandstone formations and natural amphitheater. Enjoy golden-hour photography and hear local folklore about “Nyari.”

  • Transfer to Tsavo East National Park
    Drive to Tsavo East (approximately 5–6 hours). Check-in at your safari lodge or luxury tented camp. Optional short evening drive near the lodge.

  • Dinner and overnight in Tsavo East.

DAY 4: FULL-DAY TSAVO EAST SAFARI

  • Early Breakfast & Game Drive
    Full-day safari in Tsavo East National Park. Search for the Big Five including lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo. Visit iconic scenic locations such as Mudanda Rock, Aruba Dam, and enjoy views of the Yatta Plateau.

  • Lunch at the lodge inside the park followed by an afternoon safari exploring watering holes and wildlife-rich plains.

  • Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp in Tsavo East.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO TSAVO WEST & SCENIC EXPLORATION

  • Breakfast & Scenic Drive to Tsavo West
    Morning departure for Tsavo West National Park (approximately 4–5 hours).

  • Mzima Springs & Lava Landscapes
    Visit Mzima Springs to observe hippos and crocodiles in crystal-clear pools. Explore lava caves and the rolling Chyulu Hills landscapes. Optional guided walking safari for wildlife tracking and photography.

  • Dinner and overnight in Tsavo West.

DAY 6: FULL-DAY TSAVO WEST SAFARI & MAASAI CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

  • Early Morning Game Drive
    Explore scenic viewpoints in the Chyulu Hills. Wildlife spotting for leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and buffalo. Optional early morning bush walks.

  • Lunch at the lodge followed by a visit to a Maasai Village. Experience traditional Maasai dances, beadwork, storytelling, and cultural interaction. Opportunity to purchase handmade crafts.

  • Optional sunset safari drive for photography before dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 7: MORNING SAFARI & DEPARTURE

  • Optional early morning safari or bush walk followed by breakfast at the lodge. Scenic drive back to Mombasa or Malindi Airport (approximately 5–6 hours) with optional lunch stops en route. Drop-off for departure flight. End of tour.
